Why is the spiderling forums text box darker than the rest of the forum?

When you enter the forum, just on the left of the big "GET MODS HERE" button there is a "Spiderling Forums" text.
But why is it's box darker than the rest of the forum's background?
This annoys me more than it should. But still.

Also, why is that even there?
All is does when you click it is bring you to the homepage. Thing that you could already do with the awsome besiege text and logo at the top of the page.

Interesting, I can see it in your picture, but not in mine. You can try resizing your screen or zooming out and in

Ah, I see you noticed that too.
But what do you mean with zooming in and out? do you mean like, in my browser?

Yes, usually [ctrl]+[+], [ctrl]+[-] or [ctrl]+[scroll on mouse] work

:S this is my bad, I clearly didn't match the colours very well. I had to replace the forum name widget with a static image in order to get the mods banner in and I was clearly too tired to notice the difference in colour ^^
