Why does LevelEditor still have a bounds in SP?

At first I thought LevelEditor has an uncancelable bounds in MV because position information need to be compressed for net transmition.
But in v1.0, in SP, there is still the hard limit.
So what is the reason for that?

Could be to make the levels more compatible with multiplayer. Or maybe they just didn't add something that disables it in SP.
