Things arent regenerating when in build mode and can be destroyed in build mode

I broke a tree by moving my machine over it in build mode.
it still interacts with it even when the tree fell over.

It only seems to happen with those two trees in the new sandbox. Moving a machine there and starting the simulation and then stopping it creates it.
The trees still "simulate" and move when the simulation is not running.
