Suggestions for the new forum

Here's a few things I think would be good for the new forum:

* Disable RTF option. This would entirely disable RTF editing and force BBcode whenever possible.
* Larger font (option). Currently, the forums 'look right' at about 125-150% client zoom, while at 100% there's a ton of background and small text. This is on 1920x1200.
* Code, spoiler and strikethrough tag support. Essential for a gaming forum, IMO.
* Bigger avatars. These things are pretty tiny, the old forums were good on this point.
* Disable topic creation in the main War Machines forum or delete the sub-forums, or your mods will go coo-coo.
* Embedded WebM (and gifv?) support. intoxicated_penguin
* 24-hour time support.
Zeblote
* Standard layout. (Game category with proper forums that have subforums, instead of an SG category with nonfunctional main forum and an all-subforum layout.)

Add your own. :v

Agreed.
For the sake of ascetics definitely could use the larger font and bigger avatars options. Had to squish my down. Proportions aren't right.

The ability to edit a blog post after it has been posted. I created a blog to transfer my old forum content over to and i discovered that I can't edit a blog post besides the title after it has been posted. That's my only complaint for now :p

Blog post or forum post? Forum posts can be edited?

Theres a section on here that allows you to create blogs and groups. It's at the top left. I created a Blog where Im going to post all of my stuff. But, I can't update any of the threads after I post them.

i think we dont need any subforums in "war machines" cuz every time someone will create something incredible and is not covered by the description like "cars" or "tanks"

Added 24-hour time to OP.

Forum layout:
The forums are currently not set up as proper forums in standard layout. Standard forum layout would have a "Besiege" category with forums War Machine, Guides & Tutorials, Suggestions & Idea, Support, Bug Reports, and Modding, and those forums would then have proper subforums. Instead, the front page looks weird because what should have been the Besiege category is set up as a forum under the Spiderling Games category, and all actual forums are subforums under that. It's confusing, and it makes the front page look somewhat strange (besides the small text.) I would suggest the following scheme (# denotes category, - denotes forum, -- denotes subforum)

# Besiege
- General Discussion
- War Machines
-- Medieval
-- Flying
-- Ground
-- Walkers & Mechs
-- Systems & Mechanisms
- Guides & Tutorials
- Suggestions & Ideas
- Support
- Bug Reports
- Modding

vB would present this in the standard forum layout.

I tried to upload a .bsg with the "upload attachments" button on the top righ of the reply box but it doesn't work. When you press insert you got this:
doubleshot.bsg

Also, I think that the mainboard is messy and unclear. It needs some separation lines between every forum. And I won't discuss about color choice
But thanks for the work, I know how much time it costs :D

I want to try this out and see how it goes. I feel like because of the amount of topics, machines are being lost to quickly. I hope the amount of posts will increase so it may become more of a problem. We'll have to see how it goes.

In User Profile there are few contact information (at the moment there are: AIM, Google talk, Skype, yahoo messenger, ICQ)
Maybe we need Facebook and Twitter too.

Does anyone think the preview for post is quite narrow?

Also, the image is not showing up in preview mode (only the BBcode for image).

Von Finally colours are better on this forum. I like it!
And I saw you edited the presentation. It's really nice now! Thanks!
Oh and the sub-forums in war machines are a good idea.
