In the future would it be possible while in design, ( construction ),mode to not only create machines but different block styles on our own to share with the community?
I do not know if something like this is even possible with-in the confines of the engine that is being used to run Besiege. Thought I'd ask the question. It would be really cool if we could lift the burden of developing block types off of the developers and submit our own. I am getting this idea as I use my favorite design program Google Sketchup. Which is a free 3D design program from Google. It's a feature available in most cad programs. The ability to design an item in the program and save it as a 'component' which then can be used over again or shared. If I were to design a custom picket fence for a client I would draw one picket save it as a component and be able to build the fence in the drawing by using that saved component. Same way we are putting the blocks together when we click on them to build a machine. It is possible to have a moving object in Sketchup. Might this be possible in Besiege? Probably wishful thinking on my part. But, it would be great if we could have a member created library of components.

You should check out the "mods" section! We might get the opportunity to work with the source of the game, and make new blocks.
Currently we are able to modify existing blocks, and if we wanted, make "new" blocks that looks the same as existing one, just behaving differently.

If you're talking about being able to kinda combine multiple machines, then I don't know much about it.

Actually we can also create completely new blocks that also look different, it's just more work.

If you have the ability to create a new block, can the block be shared? Created machines are .bsg files that can be downloaded and used by other members. What about blocks?

That might be possible... but it would be even more work and pretty complex. Not necessarily something for the near future.

Even discussing this possibility in an Alpha release is amazing. Here's to the future.
